Does my child’s lunch need to be Kosher?
Your child’s lunch does not need to be Kosher. We do ask that all snacks (which are sent in by parents on a weekly basis) are Kosher style. Special snacks for birthday celebrations are asked to be Kosher style as well.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT
Does Temple Beth Or Preschool accept parent involvement?
Absolutely! We wouldn’t be the warm, nurturing preschool that we are without the support and involvement of our parents. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors. We also have a variety of committees that are all volunteer driven. Parents are welcome and encouraged to help out in their child’s classroom, help in the office, lead and staff volunteer events for our children such as the annual Purim carnival. Parents chaperone children on field trips. Parent’s help organize pizza day and weekly challah sales as well as manage our monthly scholastic book sales order. We need (and love) involved parents!

May I attend Shabbat services with my child?
Please do! You are welcome to attend Shabbat service each week. We also encourage you to sign your child up to be the Ema (mother) or Abba (father) for the week. When your child is Ema or Abba, they are asked to bring a special friend (usually a parent and/or sibling) to join them on the bimah with Rabbi Dinner. This is a special opportunity to celebrate Shabbat with a close family member and to “Shine” in front of the whole preschool. Your child is welcome to be the Ema or Abba even if you do not practice Judaism in your home.
